HOUSING: What is our future sa Ghaeltacht?  There will be in Information night, Monday 8th May, in the Abbey Hotel, at 8pm.  Cllr Gobnait Ní Mhuineacháin and Micheál Ó Críodáin will be speaking at the event.  There will also be a booklet settign out what we know about affordable housing schemes and supports, what are the proposed housing developments in the area according to the County Development Plan, what is the vacant houses number that we know, water and sewerage capacity, changes in planning for rural housing that are ón the way as well as language clauses in Development Plans,  etc

Rural Social Scheme

Please spread the word that there are spaces available on the Rural Social Scheme. We are very grateful for the great work carried out by people on the scheme – indeed we depend upon them. But more help is needed to cover the workload.   And it is good to know that if the person who is eligible to take a place is not interested, it is possible for a close relative to apply for that spot.
