The local committee is at present making submissions against Wingleaf’s appeal to An Bórd Pleanala. we have been advised that it would be to our advantage to employ a solicitor to lend his weight to our submissions

Catherine Murphy rang to say that 2025 most likely date for new sewage scheme. Awaiting a call from her to put pressure on TD’s and councellors

Súgán

Feasability study has been allocate to the committee for the Súgán
Feasibility study to start in 4 weeks
A bridging loan for the feasability study has been organised
Grant of €10,000 has been aquired and is to be spent on a website for the Cumann Staite / Súgán
It must be spent before Oct 30th
Filiming for the website is bieng produced at the moment
Heidi working on the content
The website is bieng updated at present
Colourisation of old photos
Tim and his commiittee was commended for their work

Flooding

The coiuncil have removed trees and bushes at the ford which should make a big difference to water flow
James Dwyer was complemented for organising it

Roads

Stardie to contact James Dwyer to make good the uneven surfaces which occured from Irish Water works

Walks
The 8 local walks have been planned, Fionni and Mick ae erecting the finger posys at the moment
Mick Dineen has ordered another sign for Casadh na Spride.
Should be up and running in 3 weeks

Tidy Towns

Village tidy up organised
Maura Long commended for her work throught the year

Website

It is hoped to have a website for Ballingeary up and running in 2 weeks
Committees looking at pages and making suggestions

Wind Turbines

The funding target for appeal submission for Curaglass was reaches by the community.(Many thanks)
Two appeals lodged with An Bórd Planala, Ours and Wingleaf
At present the turbine committee are submitting comments on Wingleaf’s appeal.

Coiste an Halla

De bharr na srianta atá ann faoi lathair, tá an Halla dúnta, agus beidh go dtí go mbeimíd thar nais chuig leibhéal a dó.

Due to the public health restrictions of Level 3, an Halla is closed. It will reopen when the area is returned to Level 2.
